I'm visiting America for a week in January 2007 and I'm a bit nervous with regards to my passport meeting all the strict specifications demanded by the US authorities.

I have a machine readable passport valid until 2011 with a digital photo. However, my signature (for whatever reason) has changed over the 7 years since I got my passport and I'm wondering whether it will cause any hassle. I purchased a car a couple of years ago and was asked for alternative identifiaction rather than supply my passport as the signatures on my finace papers and passport were so different.

Is it worth spending the 66 so my passport is completely up to date?

your signature has nothing to do with it,just try and make it look like the one in your passport when you sign the waiver form.
If your visiting America in Jan 2007 you wont need a passport, you`ll need a time machine LOL:)

Er...Yes...Um..Well done! I was wondering when one of you would spot that one!

I am, of course, refering to January 2008. I thank you.
this happened to me last year and all i did was sign the entry card (the ones they hand out on the plane) in the same signature as my passport. practise a few times before you go so there won't be any problems.
I work for an airline and you wont need to worry about the signature (just practise it as it is in your passport if you are worried). Just prepare for the grilling questions
