Hiya,

The last time I was on the pill, I was put on it by my GP _ I've never been to a family planning clinnic, I've only ever had it from the doc!

They usually check blood pressure, etc before they put you on it too so I think it is better to go to see doc first!

Hello

Sure, the doc will prescribe it. At the family planning clinic they will still test your blood pressure and do the same stuff but they can give it to you on the spot so you don't have to traipse to the pharmacy after as with the docs. They will also dole out free condoms as a back up if you have any problems with the pill (if you're sick, diarroeah (sp?) or if you forget).

Only thing in the FPC is that you have to sit there looking at ads for baby formula and with loads of other worried looking girls and wonder why they're all there...

At the doc's they just sit there sniffling and sneezing in the waiting room :-)
I've only ever got the pill from the docs too. Of course, if you're under the age of 16, the doctor will need your parents permission to put you on the pill.
