Printing problem on Epson C64 printer

For some inexplicable reason, my Epson C64 (one of the "Dura Brite" ink models) prints the colour read as PINK!

I've done the usual "cleaning" and "re-aligning" operations, but that hasn't helped.

Any ideas, anyone?

Sorry! My original question should read, ".........prints the colour RED as PINK!"
1. Make sure the tape which you have to remove from the cartridge has come off properly. If there is some left, it can starve the printer of ink but only after a while depending on how much air is getting in.
2. Get a new cartridge and see if the problem disappears.

Have you left it for a long time without printing?
Question Author
1. There is no tape on these cartridges.

2. No, I use it every day

PROBLEM SOLVED!

My yellow cartridge wasn't working properly. I took it out, gave it a wipe, put it back in and HEY PRESTO! :o)
Splendid! I'm glad you've resolved it.
