Hello, just wondering if any other women had experienced this. Sometimes it feels as if my baby is shaking inside me, my whole stomach seems to have a mini "seizure" I have googled but nothing really seems to come up. Thanks in advance

not sure about shaking but BabyCRX had lots of bouts of hicups.
how many weeks are you?
Perhaps a call to midwife will help

Hi, I'm 32 weeks pregnant but have noticed this for about 3 weeks now.
i seem to recall one time when babyCRX did something similar as he was moving late on in pregnancy but please give your midwife a call, if you cant get her then try phoning the maternity ward for advice.
There is some sort of evidence that babys dream in the womb so it could just be something as a reflex when he/she is dreaming but always best to get advice
I wouldnt want to speculate, as these things can just make you worry and if I were you I would stop googling before you find things that would really make you worry. I would imagine those with the most troublesomely worrying pregnancaies would be midwives because of the knowledge and experiences they have.

Any increase or decrease in fetal movements should be reported to your midwife. Call either your surgery and get her to call you back ASAP or the labour ward number on the front of your notes. They will probably get you in for a couple of traces so they can see what the movements are like.

hiccups, and the lack of room left for your baby in your uterus might well be the cause, Remember that she is nearly full size now and it really just padding down weight., so if she is trying to do a somersault or maneuvre herself into a better delivery postion you are really going to feel it.
Hi hectic love , to put your mind at ease and get checked over just call either your midwife or the hospitals pre natal.
Don't worry , they are there to care for you and your baby and should see you anytime. :-)
Could it be a braxton hicks contraction?

If you're worried, phone your mid wife! Don't use the internet to try and self diagnose.
Hi Hectic

My first son did this from when he started to move until he was born. I used to be able to feel him moving round in circles in my womb and then after half an hour or so my stomach would seize up as you describe. I asked the Doctor at the time and she said "I've never heard of that before but everything else looks OK so it's probably nothing". He was born a few weeks early but that was thought to be due to something else completely and he's now a strapping healthy 21 year old.

So as the advice says, mention to the midwife and she can check that else is OK.

However I can sympathise as it was very, very uncomfortable.

So
is obonio a boy?????
Oops, didn't realise it was a girly only thread ;oP
sorry Obonio! its just Braxton Hicks dont shake and I would have thought most girls of child bearing age would know that. They are like cramp without the pain (most of the time without the pain) everything goes rigid, vey unlike shaking.
Forgive my naivety, I didn't think BH were that well known.
what does a baby dream of??
well if babies can be affected by what you eat, drink, by light and sounds then i suppose they dream of things like that. sound, taste and colour
Do as the others suggest hectic and check with your midwife just to be on the safe side. I remember that feeling being "The Quickening" usually between 32+ 36 weeks.
