I am forever amazed at the range of life on Earth and want to look for some parameters that exist.

1. What is the bird that flys the highest.
2. What is the creature that can descend the most into the deepest oceans

Highest recorded bird is the Ruppells griffon at 37,900ft. It got sucked into a planes engine at that height!!

Bar-Headed Geese are the highest altitude migrates and they are at 29,028ft, They fly above Mount Everest.

The Cuskeel fish is the deepest swimmer at 27,455ft but there are creatures living deeper at 35,000ft. The deepest living creature has probably yet to be discovered.
The animal that can survive the lowest temperatures on earth is the Antarctic icefish.

Certain bacteria thrive in boiling hot volcanic springs.

The bird that can fly the greatest distances is the wandering albatross (which is also the largest seabird).

The spadefoot toad hibernates underground in the Australian desert for years, coming to the surface to breed and spawn during / after a rainstorm.

Among the creatures in the deepest part of the ocean is the recently discovered Dumbo octopus.
