In my garden i have a mixture of flowers. I noticed some tiny black dots on most of the stems i thought it was blackfly but the treatment that supposed to kill them didn't . Any ideas what it can be?

Hi Heartache, I realize it's been about 3 weeks since you posted this. You say that you used some type of treatment, but you don't say what you used. I always say know thine enemy. Don't spray anything unless you know what is the problem. Too many pesticides will kill the good bugs along with the bad ones. Here's what blackfly (which is an aphid) looks like. This site also has sources for biological controls in the UK. http://www.which.net/gardeningwhich/advice/pests/factsheets/ blackfly.pdf If this isn't your problem, take a sample to a good garden center in a sealed plastic bag for id. You can still use the above listed sources for treatment once you know what you have. Good luck, Newt

I'm going to search the link you gave see if it is blackfly. Thanks Newt!
I hope that helps, if not, repost with a link to the old one so I don't have to go hunting for it. :-) Newt
