Avoid southern Indian Ocean as it's monsoon time!
You could always try to Canary Islands. I know they have a bad rap, but the weather around the end of the year and Christmas is always stunningly hot. Dubai and the Arab states is always to be recommended. Dubai is one of the most liberal of the Arab States and, even though the end of the year is Ramadan, it is still very welcoming.
It's spring in New Zealand and Australia at that time. A bit far I know, but I would recommend New Zealand to anyone. It has a huge range of scenery including geothermal guysers, glaciers, snow covered mountains, huge sand dunes, flat coastal plains, volcano cones, sub-tropical rainforest etc. It also has wonderful animal and plant life (lots not found elsewhere) and an art-deco city to boot! Hiring a campervan is a wonderful way to see the country and you can basically park up for the night right next to the beach/field/lake that you happen to be by. Amazing. We went in November and didn't get much rain. About 4 nasty days in 22. It's a bit warmer than the UK generally, and had lots more hours of sunshine.
i would agree that the canary islands are the perfect places to go to in october and november! i go there almost every year around that time and i really enjoy it!

Try Mauritius or South Africa. SA offers such great value when you get there, lots to see, but no beach. If you want a beach go for Mauritius but there is some rain.
Nova Scotia, Canada... The second week of October is when all of the sugar maple trees are displaying their most vibrant Autumn colours. The farther away you go from the urban centres (such as Halifax), the more colourful the trees will be. It is usually the second week of October; on rare occasions, due to climactic conditions, it is the third. It's best to check in advance.
I would without hesitation recomend South Africa, try the Eastern Cape. George, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay would be your best, they are all in a 50 km radius. If you do decide on S.A let me know maybe i can show you around.
Have you considered The Gambia? Six hours flight due south, so no jet lag. They also have UK leccy sockets so you don't need adaptors. I went a couple of years ago during the first week of November with The Gambia Experience and loved it. And it was boiling :) Egypt was also great at the same time of year- Sharm El Sheik is v warm and seems to be on a coral reef so perfect for diving (and even snorkellers like me - The fish were unbelievably spectacular and just at the end of the hotel's private beach jetty). You will even be asked at check-in if you have diving equipment!! You can also go on a day's excursion (internal flight) to Giza where you can actually go inside one of the Great Pyramids.
i wood recomend egypt or south africa espically cape town it is amazing
hey, try Kenya. it's a country of great beauty and interest.contact mr.paul [email protected]
