Does anyone else think we deserved to come almost last in this years Eurovision? I'm surprised we got any points at all ! Scooch has got to be one of the biggest loads of old rubbish I've heard. There were some good songs last night and we need to seriously get our act together if we are ever gonna win again.

I thought the song from Hungary was great.

I agree with your assessment of the Brit entry, sounded and looked like something off childrens morning TV
I'd agree with both points - Hungary was certainly one of my favourites. Many countries, to their credit, seem to be trying to move away from bland cheesy Europop - hence we got blues from Hungary, swing from Germany, glam rock from Sweden and so on. We, on the other hand, are getting cheesier.
I didn't watch it but i assume countries are still voting for their neighbours,

i.e: former Yugoslavian countries stick together, likewise with the former USSR nations.

its all a load of tosh.
There's a thread in Media along the same lines cazz.

i'm obviously in the minority here by thinking that our entry wasn't that bad, but seeing as every other country seems to hate us we'd still get nowhere if we had Elton John or Robbie Williams singing for us.
I didn't think our entry was THAT bad, it was fun. However, I don't think we got what we voted for. Where did those ladies in bright neglegees come from? Why were they poncing around the stage and ruining the choreography? Why at the end was there not the two giant union jacks on the trolleys? Why were they replaced by all the EU flags? Why was the music so loud that you could hardly hear them singing? Why did the stage look such a mess? The brightness of their costumes was quite enough! All the acts should sing in English anonomously and be given numbers then maybe the block voting would be stopped. Why do we carry on watching? Mainly to listen to Terry Wogan! Long live Terry!

I am completely with you on this one

are you a TOG?

Terry Wogan is a legend!!
Thought there were six to eight good entries there last night....but ALL from eastern Europe, again. Felt it was a high standard last night.
France/Spain/Ireland/UK have all failed to realise the plot has changed.
I am indeed a TOG. No one's allowed any other station in the car if he's on air and I'm afraid I don't bother to listen to his show if someone else is presenting! Unfortunately this happens a little too often for my liking these days. If he starts winding down or stops Eurovision I'll be beside myself!!!!!
We Should have won, a great fun song and now in the BBC top five singles chart.
It wouldn't matter if we came up with the best song in history, we wouldn't get anywhere near winning because we are not politically favoured. Don't know why we (or any other country) bothers to be honest.
Why can't they forget the novelty dance routines and sing a decent proper song for a change?
I thought the Russian entry was very good, and one of the few songs I would recognise if I heard it five minutes later.

As for Terry Wogan, come on, its time he was put out to pasture. He just was not funny, some of his comments were downright insulting. He has definitely lost the plot. Give the job to Graham Norton and then you'll see proper
irony.
bring back gina g!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And how much did Terry Wig-man get for doing that stint?
More or less than for Children in Need?
