Help please! I've recently acquired a dvd recorder.I've managed to set it up + record from tv with it, but when I've erased what's on a disc to re-record, it's showing as "unrecordable". I'm using the correct discs according to the manual (DVD+RW). I should add that I've only just discovered the on/off rewrite option, so could it be that because I initially recorded on to this particular disc with the rewrite option set to off- I won't be able to re-record on it now?Hope this makes sense!

If you had that option set to 'off' to prevent re-writing then it 'closes' the disc for further re-writing. Try using a new disc and making sure the option is still set to 'on'

Thanks Mrs Booldawgs- i've managed ok with different discs now. Do I have to set rewrite to "on" for every disc, or will machine default to "on" setting now?
