i have been told you should pinch out the top of annuals to make them bushy and stronger is this true because i was also told that some annuals shouldnt be pinched?the annuals i want to know about at the moment are rudbeckia, zinnia, linum, linnaria, stocks(ten week) aster petunia, and cleome.Would welcome any info on growing annuals and half hardy annuals also.
Hi mason01 Not sure about hardy annuals but there is one thing I know and that is if you are growing sweet peas to make the plant stronger pinch out the sort of strand bit (I'm sure there is a name for it... tendrills comes to mind??? ) anyway thoses curly green stringys, nip them off and the plant becomes stronger.... apparently !
