Selling my house

Does anyone know of any website that i can a sale of a house on for free?? I dont want to pay the estate agents 2k!!

does it specifically have to be a website, we took photos of our house and drew up our own particulars like an estate agent to give to potential buyers and then put a largish advert in the local newspaper, we sold the house to the second person to view it at the full asking price.

Well, i think websites probably get more coverage. I have put it in a local paper but didnt get much response as i have probably asked for too much to be honest. However, i do have a few viewers coming so you never know.

DEPENDS on how much u want to sell for, estate agents can sometimes get more, as they have access to a hude database. 4k is not much if they get that much more, and choose a big agent and they will contract chase to completion, check out their finances etc. i would never sell without one!

Check out Houseweb.com & Clicksell.com. They are not free but they are tonnes cheaper than the Estate Agents. Also, let the people in your area know you are selling, talk to the neighbours. We told our Neighbour we would be putting ours on the market and straight away one of their family members came to us about buying it so we haven't had to do anything!
