Yet I wonder if this is any different to farming for supermarkets, other fast food chains etc. Can anyone give me any insight into this?
This is basically how *all* processed chicken is treated. The chickens in this particular video could have been destined to end up in Colonel Sanders secret blend of herbs and spices, but could just as easily end up on the shelves in the Supermarket of your choice. Sobering thought, eh ?

Especially as I have just snacked on chicken wings and legs...........!
Its because of this kind of farming, and I don't think KFC is alone, that I became a vegetarian in 1980. It was political action, probably not earth shattering for the factory farming industry and all who profit by this cruelty but it made me feel better. But, you can now at least buy meat that has been humanely reared, transported and slaughtered. Also I belive on the Food and Drink section someone had the recipe for kfc seasoning so you can make it at home.
