Apparently many arts students are leaving university with no clear idea of what they want to do. This means that they go straight into the world of work without any plan and so are aimless for a long time. Should universities make sure that students have an idea of a career path? Or is it down to the student to spend time planning before graduating?

Don't blame the Universities. It is the responsibility of the student, with suitable advice, to plan out their career.
