Music bringing back memories

Listening to music now, and one song reminds me of someone I should'nt be thinking of. Does this happen to anyone else?

Some modern western musicians wrote that music is
a higher revelation than wisdom and philosophy.
Some ancient Hindu texts wrote that music
transcends all limitations of language and races.
It is known to many of us that babies, animals and
even snakes enjoy listening to music. Poets
described that soft music moves the chord within
like a moon beam that tranquillizes the mind, and
acts like an orison. Modern para- psychology knows
that crops give better yields if soft music is
played in the fields regularly.

The Upanishads say that music is connected with
primordial memories. Some persons may recollect
child-hood memories. A few others can recollect
past life memories.

Ancient legends tell of the paranormal effects of music. Orpheus of ancient Greece charmed wild animals and even trees by his music, and the modal system of the Greeks was said to influence the social and emotional attitudes of listeners...
