Ned Sherrin absence

Does anyone know why Ned Sherrin has been off Loose Ends for such a long time? They never gave an explanation on the programme.

Well he certainly is not dead.

And I can find no reference on the internet to him being ill.

Maybe he IS ill, but would rather not have it known.

After all, Linda Smith kept her illness quiet until she died.

According to The Daily Mail he has a paralysed vocal cord caused by a viral infection. Google ned sherrin illness

Thanks a lot, I found out some weeks ago and was going to post the answer but found the question had been banned! No idea why, it's harrdly a national security issue. They've clearly unbanned it now anyway and allowed the mystery to be solved.
