I recently had my rover 75 classic 1800cc diagnostics checked, and was told the airbag pre-tensioner in the drivers seat was faulty. My airbag light has been on since
buying the car 10 months ago. Is the problem easily rectified or is it an expensive job? my car is on a 52 plate.
Thank you

Many times a pretensioner fault is due to the wiring harness that runs from the belt buckle under the seat to the floor. It gets kicked/dirty. A quick clean and reset of the lights and there could be only a small charge.
If it needs replacing then they are not too expensive (40) ish plus some labour to fit.
Airbags do not have pretensioners, the seat belts do.

Might be best to use a garage that knows what they are talking about.
