Why when you jog (and probably when you do other forms of exercise) does your saliva become really thick? Or is it just my saliva?!

I do, when I play football.
I guess that's why you see footballers on T.V. constantly gobbing on the pitch.

I do too - I used to think it was disgusting when I saw footballers spitting on the pitch but now I understand
