when cooking peas do i put water in the saucepan with them please ???

You could try boiling them in orange juice but i wouldnt recomend it ;-)

john that is not helpful , my old dear is comming home and i never have had to cook peas lol
yes and if cooking gravy use the juices after to do the gravy in
It helps to put water in the saucepan with them, what else are you giving your "old dear" to eat, or are you going to sit and guzzle boiled peas all night?
Are they tinned or frozen?
Cook mince and peas - when you have browned the mince, add the peas and simmer for about 3 mins.

lol thanks all i have put some boiling water with them lol god im 23 and never done peas the sheltered life i lead

not boiling them in orange juice is sensible, unstick those peas from whichever of redheads oraffice you stuck them in 4getmenot you cad

The best way to enjoy peas is not to cook them but serve them frozen (from the bag) using a straw to eat and enjoy one by one.

i knew i could rely on you for some sensible advice , i think i will be the next delia smith , i served it to my old dear and she loved it

lets get sensible lol, why use a pan my god no one does it that way any more, if they are frozen which i think they are,put required amount in a suitable microwave dish, add a couple of tablespoons of watercover with clingfilm and pierce the middle, cook on full power for 3 minutes more or less on depending how much you are cooking.
