what is the file pfc027.sys?

My pc last nite displayed a message that a fatal error occured on a blue screen, and apparently the cause seems to be a file called pfc027.sys and some text about a driver not being installed/deleted properly. what is this and what do i do to rectify it?

It is a driver for your webcam.

Reinstall the software.
