Yes. If it makes someone feel sexually harassed.
I'm sure you're right Ethel but do you know which law this would breach?
It could be an offence under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997, the Criminal Justice & Public Order Act 1994.

It depends on how it is perceived by the 'target'.

Apologies, for clarity to my earlier post -

that comma between the two Acts should be 'or'.

They are two separate and distinct Acts.
We are so PC these days if I were a woman and a man gave me an appreciative wolf whistle I would be delighted

having said that I'm a bloke but I've got no objections if there are any ladies out there...lol
You could also be arrested following a warning from an officer for Sect. 5 public order if the person being whistled at was seen to experience any harm , harressement or distress.
i wish someone would wolf whistle at me - or in fact even look at me would be a bonus!
