I have a young kitty with a sticky eye is salt water the best to clean it with?twinny

No! Why would you want to put salt in his eye? Just cooled boiled water will do and if he is young maybe a visit to the vets would be more advisable incase of any infection.

I had a kitten with sticky eyes and was told to bathe them with milk. I did and it worked, but I dont know if this is still OK as it was 14 years ago.

i use to just use luke warm water on my kitten but more recently i have used the saline from a first aid kit, but salt water would be fine it helps clear away the infection

saline is fine and it works. but if you water down tcp this is much better.
