I am planning to train as a Primary teacher in Sept 2008 but I want to get as much work experience, preferably paid, between now and when the course begins. I have a full CRB check so I know I can volunteer at my local primary school, but I really need soemthing that pays...Im sick of the poor life of a student. lol All suggestions welcome! lol

Could you get a classroom assistants position? If you volunteer at a school they may offer you a permanent place; that happened where I teach and the woman had no qualifications. You do need an NVQ for some positions but some schools will take you unqualified.

It's a great way of getting some pre-course experience as well. And you will certainly know whether it is the course for you after a couple of weeks!

Good luck with the course!
