to anyone who does the codeword, am unable to get todays started, usually manage to sort out an E, but failing miserably, any help please.

The key to starting this is to look at the word going down from the top left corner. Put the letters you have into a crossword solver such as this one:

Look amongst the possible answers for the repeated letter with the value 22
