Does anyone else have trouble with compatible inkjet cartridges or is it my printer that's faulty ? The heads need cleaning constantly which uses up more ink (if there's much ink there in the first place) Expensive paper is wasted not to mention wasted time and general frustration. What's your experience with compatibles ?

I guess it depends which compatible brand you choose. I used to have a Cannon printer which worked much better with cheap cartridges than with Cannon's own.
I've used them for 10 years in my Epson printers, can't see any difference. only the cost of course
Had no problems but you must use a reputable company/brand and perhaps one that accepts returns by Freepost. Are you prepared to name your supplier?

Thanks to all - My supplier has been Box-Shift of Ripon, North Yorkshire - anyone recommend another ?

My favourite is Touchstone Resources at:-

http://www.printcartridge.net/acatalog/

One recently recommended with a good returns policy is:-

http://www.phoenixdirectukshop.co.uk/?source=goog&keyword=phoenix%20ink%20cartridges

a favourite of various ABers is:-

http://www.picstop.co.uk/

but others are:-

http://www.inkcycle.co.uk/

http://www.7dayshop.com/

http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/home.html

The last two are more general companies who happen to do cartridges - some from 1 or less.

I have been using compatible ink cartridges for my Epson printers for some time, and quality can vary enormously.

I have found http://www.eezytrade.co.uk to be very reliable plus good prices including free first class delivery.
