Hi there, I have a flight in August from Manchester aiport at about 5:00 am - I need to get to the aiport from Leeds. Does anybody know of any taxi/minibus companies that will pick a few people up from one city and take them to the aiport together - i dont really want to pay for a taxi for 2 people when i have heard that some companies will pick up a few people and share the cost. Thanks in advance for the help.

providing your flight isn't Sunday morning, you could go by train - leaving Leeds at 0114 or 0125 (depending on the day), getting to Manchester Airport just before 3, which is the right time to check in for a 5am flight.

what about hiring a car. we always fly from gatwick and live near southampton, we pick up a hire car locally and drop it off at gatwick, it cost about 35 each way, cheaper than a taxi we found.
I dont know any company that wouldnt pick up a few people in Leeds and then take them on to Manchester Airport - it would only take an hour at that time of morning - so doesn't need much planning. Just ring round a few local companies and I'm sure they give you a price.
why dont you go down the night before and stay in a budget hotel ? or pick a hotel that has a courtesy bus to the airport.
Dont rely on a really late train that could be cancelled at the last minute, you might be better off getting to the airport before midnight and just hanging around.
good luck.
