is not time to give the iranians an ultimatum, 24 hours to hand over the sailors or we take "action". i dont want another iraq war but if i was one of those sailors id want something done NOW!

The Trident comment was somewhat tongue in cheek.......but come on, we've got to do something positive and strong - being mealy mouthed is not the answer: and as for giving a grovelling apology...........do be quiet: we'd be a laughing stock with every mickey mouse country on the planet.

Iran's been wagging the dog for too long, just because they have oil. As if it's some ace card up their sleeve.
But it looks like they might be next on the Allies' hit list.
A sad thing though is that any normal, decent people in Iran (and I believe they exist in most societies) would suffer in the middle of it all, whether it be from imposed sanctions or armed conflict.

War with Iran is inevitable, sooner rather than later. This is a country and culture totally at odds with any way of life other than their own, and an implacable and merciless enemy. Live and let live doesn't work here. This is a country that given a nuclear bomb would gladly lob it at Tel Aviv, or even New York or London if the missiles had an accuracy of greater than plus or minus a country.
Getting rid of the current evil state won't stop the Islamisation of the world, but it might at least delay it until our grandchildrens' generation.

How about telling them, for every Brit that gets killed, we will kill one hundred of thier lot over here. I think that would show this lot not to mess with us, maybe if we had some backbone, this wouldn't have even started and i am not blame the lads and lass, the poncey arsed government is to blame.
I think its obvious Iran is spoiling for a fight, they want it, any sensible nation, assuming that our sailors were in Iranian waters, would have given warnings of what would happen if they didn't get back to their side of the line.
