I''ve found this on a forum site

Try the RDVD1002 hack:

Open tray, make sure its empty.
close the tray up and press TV/DVDR
press RETURN
press DISPLAY
now ENTER 8880

A message appears on the screen saying Region Free.

Hope it works!
