compulsive lies

my daughter is 20 and a single mum she has a boyfreind who she spends most of her time with however her son has just been placed with me by social services on her consent but she is ripping my family apart with her constant lies to us, the police, any one. I want to beleive what she says but every time i do she is prooved to be lying again i really don't know how to deal with this situation i want to support her all i can but how can i with all the lies any one got any ideas she is very good at talking the talk - a very lost mum

Has your daughter seen a psychologist? If she would agree to see one it may be a great help as they would help her explore why she feels it is necessary to lie. Best of luck with your situation.
Has she admitted that she knows she's lying when she's saying it? That it's not just something that comes out of her mouth then she reaslies that she's said? The first step in my opinion would be talking to her and for her to 1) realise that she's doing it and 2) try to establish why she's doing it.
