Improper use of the reporting function

With reference to the latest addition in yir blog ABE, may I suggest you tell us (perhaps on a regular basis) how many folk have had their accounts terminated because of incorrect reporting?

I mean- what will knowing how many folks were banned do for you?

Folk keep complaining about the mis-use and we keep being telt that folk will be banned for it so it would be interesting to know how many it has happened to. If it is made obvious that it is taken seriously, it may make folk think twice before doing it.

of course the answer may turn out to be 'one - under 348 different names', which I suppose would demonstrate the ineffectiveness of the sanction.

I think there is an indistinguishable line sometimes between someone disagreeing with your contribution to this site, and people just being obnoxious to us specifically every time they see a users name. If someone chooses to make an inappropriate and unnecessary comment to another user, that as far as i am concerned is not disagreeing with an opinion, it is being antagonistic and warrants reporting,.
