I have burnt a cd made in MS Windows Movie Maker. Although the CD plays well enough on my computer, I get a error message, Unknown Disc, on my DVD player. Is there another format that I can write the disc to or am I stuck with just playing it on my PC. The real problem is that I want to give the disc to my Dad so that he can see movie clips of his granddaughter. He has an old computer which probably won't play the disc but a reasonable DVD player which should - but won't. Help please!

I too had the same problem, and what i did was to save the file and use NeroVision Express 3 SE to make a Video CD.
After you add the video files, click next, don't make a menu and you will have a preview of what it will look like. You can use either a normal cd(vcd) or use a dvd, depending on the size of the video. On mine i added music and title's and i'm quite pleased with the end result.
hope this helps.
1) what disc type are you using?
2) try burning it at the lowest possible speed.
