I have stripped wallpaper off of plasterboard wall but in places i have taken the top layer off the plasterboard and it is now uneven,as i wish to just paint it i was wondering if anyone has a way to get a smooth finish without having to pay a plasterer to skim it.....Thanks

Or Polyfilla the holes, sand smooth, and paper, alas! Just as in another question, the paint would otherwise show up the difference in texture between the good plasterboard and the filled holes.
