I am finding it very hard to potty train my three year old son, sometimes he will do his pees in the toilet, but uf he is watching tv or playing with his toys he will just go in his pants. If I ask him he will say he doesn't have to go. If i take him anywhere he justs pees himself so i just end up putting a nappy on him. Getting really anxious as he is at playschool and all the rest of the kid(even the younger ones) seem to be trained. Any tips?

when we was potty training our 3 year old we just kept on asking him if he needed a wee, just keep on saying it and when he does one tell him how clever he is and reward him we used to say because you have been a clever boy we will buy you a nice present, that always worked!!now he wears his favourite pants for bed and he thinks its brilliant, before he goes to bed ask him if he needs a wee, goodluck
I had girls and they do say boys are harder to train in general. We had the potty in the room so if they were busy they could still see the tv or get there quick if they left it late. We also had stickers and when they got it right we had a big party and stickers which they loved. I f they said they did not want to go and we thought they did we would say "I bet I can do a bigger wee than you" and rush to the loo and they soon raced you there. Or "I bet you cant do a wee like a big girl". It is important to do the party thing when they get it right. If he goes in his pants just take theom off and say"oh well maybe you can have a sticker next time". Try not to resort to putting a nappy on as this confuses them although I know it is hard. Of course I am assuming you think he is actually aware of what he is doing. If you think he has not a clue then maybe try again in a few months.
Hope there some ideas for you. Good luck.
Remember they all develop at different ages number one was dry at just under 2 and number 2 not dry till21/2 so dont worry.
