Can somone tell me what a residency order is. My two children are currently living with there grandparents and they have forms for a resideny order. should i sing so i know the kids are there, but do i loose any parentle rights do i have to go to court to get them back??????????????????????????????????

You may not loose parental rights but usually a residency order gives parental rights to the person with has the residency order. I don't know your circumstances but if you are happy with the children living with their grandparents I would make it clear that you wish to retain parental rights albeit sharing with them.
A residency order does what it says. A child to reside with named person who takes responsibility for their welfare, not given lightly by Family Courts.

You shouldn't lose your parental rights by not having residency of your children!
A residency order is just that - it states where the children will reside.
Hi, I have the residency order for my granddaughter, this means I look after her, care for her welfare etc her mother still has parental rights but the child lives with me. If her mother (my daughter) took her to stay with her without my permission the residency order would give the police the power to return her to me - in my case this is because of a risk to the little one

its just my two childrn live with there grandparents till i find my feet me and my partner are looking for a bigger place so we can all live together but does this mean i will have to go to court to fight for them back
