I have two beautiful pet rabbits. My daughter bought Kellogs Fruit n Fibre cereal but has now decided she doesn't like it - would it be ok to mix some in with my rabbits food - they usually have Wagg Optimum and plenty of fruit and veg and I just wondered if they would be able to eat this cereal too.

I only get toast for breakfast! Can I swap places with your rabbits?

Most cereals are ok, but you must not feed rabbits dried fruit.

Rabbits are easily kept in good health with veges and grasses. You don't need those fancy and expensive foods. It is beneficial to give your bunnies freshly collected grass at least once per week. As with most 'herbivores', an certain amount of animal protien is ingested from the herbage they eat. They will survive without it, but if stessed through sickness a previously healthy bunny has more chance.

Forget the Kellogs stuff. Its full of sugars and salt.
You musn't give rabbits sugary things, even carrots must be restricted to a quarter of one per day. Fruits are not advisable, just give them alfalfa and dried grass (bought not from the lawn)
NO! Too much sugar!
No you would be wise to just stick to dried rabbit food mix, fresh grass and dandilions, and the occaisional carrot. My black rabbit ,liquorice, lived to be 10 years old.Enjoy your little rabbits ,they make good little pets and can be very tame and even housetrained.
