Right, I have an electric hob and around the plates is discoloured. I was wondering if anyone knew of any product or mixture that would get them looking renewed? Thanks in advance!

Off the supermarket shelf, I recommend Barkeeper's Friend.

It's in powder form, <G>Gill. But great for all round cleaning.

Soak the hob plates in the sink beforehand with just enough boiling hot water to cover them, and add Barkeeper's friend. Leave to soak for about 30 mins before going over them with a scourer. It'll make the job a helluva lot easier!
