I have been following the Slimming World diet programme with great success and have lost 2 stones so far. Since taling iron tablets for anaemia, however, my weight has fluctuated and I have not lost any more. :ast week I gained 5lbs and yet had followed the plan as normal. I would appreciate any help.

Don't think they should effect weight unless iron tablets are making you constipated. Keep going with Slimming World you are doing real well
Hi there.

I was only looking up Iron on Wikipedia this morning because I was wondering if I need to increase my intake!!

Try this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron#Iron_in_biol ogy

Iron shouldn't have any detremental effect on your weight unless you are taking in too much iron, in which case lots of things could be affected. Excessive intake of iron can have a chemical reaction on certain parts of the body, but whether or not any of these would affect your weight is another thing!
I don't think you should weigh yourself every week. You know that hormones play a massive part in weight fluctuation and some weeks you will gain 5lbs and others you will lose weight easily. I NEVER weigh myself before my period- the week before. I wait until 4 days into it if at all. Try weighing yourself only when inspired, cos a bad weigh in can mentally wreck your diet!
