Frosty at night. For temperatures (F) see here
In accord with heathfield's post, be aware that February and March are the most active months for Chinook winds. All along the Front Range of the Rockies, extremely high winds can occur. They blow from the west-southwest and can reach 100 mph. The winds cause rapidly increasing temperatures due to the compression of the air falling off the nearby mountains. Therefore, one can experience an extremly cold night... say -10F and by sunrise, if the winds have kicked up, see the temprature climb to 50 or 60F. All in all, March is probably the most changeable month of the year...
And to add to Clanard's post:
Spring in Denver is the snowiest time of the year. People here asy" Winter doesn't start in Denver until Spring.

What is nice is that the snow in the city doesn't "stick." It's here; it's gone in a day or two.

But Spring Skiing is the best in the resorts just outside Denver. All the local know that. The tourists come in the winter when we have lower snow fall and miss the best skiing in the world. (Don't tell anyone.)

But in the spring, the Chinooks come and the wind velocity is most intense right up against the mountains. The media puts out warnings and we all take care especially if we are driving on state roads close to the mountains.

But Chinnoks are really wonderful. It is a Native American word that is loosely translated to: Snow Eater. It is a dry warm wind from the south that when it gets to Denver sucks up the moisture and makes your skin feel cool and warm at the same time. The day will begin with a bright blue sky and then the fluffiest, whitest clounds will gather in the afternoon. (Usually no rain.) Ohhhhh, I must tell you it is a spritual experience. You will see many folks just hanging out in their yards in the late afternoon, sipping drinks and lounging around.
It is March 2007. Dear tull: it is very very cold here in Denver and it has been cold and snowy the entire winter. Driving conditions are dangerous in the mountains but the Front Range is not much better: this week we had a 42 car pile-up on I25, south of Denver, because of ice, snow and ground blizzard conditions. Come prepared.
