I have a website with sub-sections and have been asked if I could create an RSS feed (Really Simple Syndication!) to make it easy to directly access a particular subject. There are many software adverts for creating RSS, but can anyone please please recommend one that is 'really simple' to use ..... and does one need to have something called a 'reader' in order to read an RSS feed? Thanks.

Do you use any sort of content management system?

If not, it's perhaps easiest to use something like Wordpress to do all the hard stuff for you.

Thank you fo3nix. I'll have a look at Wordpress. RSS software is supposed to be 'simple' but doesn't look so to me. Wordpress could be the answer.
Well RSS is just a feed specification, but writing the stuff yourself could be complicated and integrating some code to make RSS from your own content system is likely just as complicated.

Wordpress is what I use, and as a general CMS it works great. The only headache may be importing your content across to the Wordpress database, and changing the styling to make it just like your current site. But it is likely easier than the above.

Thanks fo3nix. WordPress does look interesting - I've visited a few pages about it on the Internet. I am however beginning to wonder whether my particular purpose would be worth the hassle. I don't give up that easily and will try to persevere - thank you for your interest.
