For the last couple of days my gum, behind my bottom molar has been swollen and throbs with excruciating pain, i can only have water when the pain is that bad and i've been taking Co-Codamol and this helps take the edge off the pain butonce it starts wearing off it's back to square one. Also, the gum between the surrounding teethis red an swollen.

I will make an appointment first thing tomorrow but until then is there anything else i can do to aleviate this pain?
I thought there was nothing more painful as labour and i've gone through that twice!

Thanks

Try holding salted warm water on it. I call this a salt and water scrunch, sounds better does`nt it.
what about ice cube or ice cream? or ice cold water?
It could be oral thrush.... your doc will prescribe some anti-biotics.
Sounds like an abcess - you need medicine.
