You need to "rip" the tracks off the CD and convert them to MP3 format on your hard drive.

Then mail the MP3 files to him.

Windows Media Player can rip from a CD, or you can find various rippers on the internet.
Yes open Windows Media player, put your disk in the drive, choose the rip tab on media player, select what tracks you want to rip, these will then be placed in My Music file, if you have one in MY Documents. It is then just a matter of writing your Email and then individually choosing these music files and attaching them to the Email.
manxbiker, As long as your brother has windows media player on his computer, then he will be able to play the files, as vhg says you otherwise would need to convert the files after media player has ripped them, as they will be ripped to wma format, which is a smaller compression than mp3 files, so if you want to convert the files to mp3 format, after you have ripped them, use this http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/masters.html download wavepad, it's free, after initial set up, open wave pad, then to convert to mp3, drag and drop each file one at a time into wave pad, it will load the file and start playing, press stop and click on left side of panel "Save file as" and a box will open to save to your music folder, it says file name and under that file type, on the drop down menu it will say wave, change that to mpeg layer 3, save that, next a box will appear with the encoder bitrate settings, change that to 224 bits, dont touch any other settings, just press ok, and it will send the mp3 file to your music, do that with all 3 files then do what anotheoldgit says, and attach files to your email, where it says browse in your email, browse through your music files till you find each file then attach. If you get stuck, post any questions on here, somebody will help, good luck....... May I also offer my condolences for the loss of your wife.
