How can i remove what seems to be a mark on a light colour leather chair .I think the mark is something that has come off of a shoe/boot that has been scuffed onto the chair, dont want to go to use anything that will cause more damage than i've already got .

Thanks

For light cleaning I use some disposable Leather Cleaning wipes (impregnated with almond oil) or for more intense cleaning/treatment, saddle soap.

I would advise you to try cleaning the chair in a spot that wont normally be seen (underneath the chair or maybe under a cushion). Maybe you could try to re-create the damage/mark you describe and then try cleaning it, and see how it's affected.
When we bought our last leather sofas, which were pale cream, we were advised to clean any strains first of all with dove soap and a soft cloth.

We had to do this after a visitor wearing dark jeans left a stain where the colour had come out of the jeans and it cleaned the colour off perfectly
