The Poem ... by Henry Van Dyke although it has been read at tragedy associated events i.e Princess Diana's funeral and the september eleven mass, is it actually more a love poem appropriate for a marraige? Your thoughts would be really appreciated, as we have just used it at work on a gift card for a sundial we bought for our colleague getting married tomorrow! They loved it, but weren't to know we had literally just grabbed it as our favourite of poems searched on google to do with time & love. After giving him the gift, we found on google that it had been read at these solem affairs, but also that the original history was romantic. What do you think?

Katrina's Sun-Dial

Hours fly,
Flowers die:
New days,
New ways:
Pass by!
Love stays.
