Hi polly1
There are so many types of antihistamines available over the counter now.
One that helps relieve the symptoms is "Piriton"
That is one of the older meds and there are newer ones on the market
Ask your Chemist for advice.

thanks cruella - the stuff i've used in this country hasnt worked and i thought the egyptians maybe just sold medicines that are that much bit stronger?!?!
Hey Polly,

I discovered aloe vera whilst in Lanzarotte, it's the only thing that I have found that helps. Antihistamine has never had any effect for me at all. You can get it to rub on your skin but also to drink. I find that sometimes I don't realise how warm it is until I get home and I start to itch, then I find the best thing is a piece of the plant rubbed over the area. It stinks like p**s but it soothes so well!

Hope this helps xx
