I made pesto last night to the same recipe I always use but it just didnt taste right, it was really bitter. The only thing I can think of is that the basil plant I bought was the last in the shop and there wasnt a huge amount of leaves on it so I used some of the larger stalks, would this make it bitter?

Thanks
