Thanks for your answer dzug....at the risk of sounding v.dim, how do I know if I have?
It will look like two meters in one with two sets of readouts and probably a timer visible as well. Possibly an Economy 7 marking as well.

Unless you have night storage heaters it's unlikely that you have one.

I believe they charge extra for daytime electricity over the normal single tariff.
A clue, if you have two meters. The 'off peak' meter is often known as the 'white meter'.
A couple of guys round the back of Drax power station sell bags of it cheap, but only when it's dark
