Are there any nice areas to live in the South of Bristol? I may be getting a job in Whitchurch near the Wells Road. Any ideas on where to live / what public transport to this area is like? Thanks

I had friends who lived on Congresbury, nice village pub & shops etc people friendly, they now live abroad, but it was nice there but I havent got a map so I dont know if this is any use.
whitchurch is ok,as is bedminster down or bedminster, avoid knowle west or hartcliffe or witywood ( they arnt bad but the others are better highridge where i live is ok,congresbury will cost u an arm and both legs,or u could look at dundry (more out in the sticks ) or chew valley/magna. more out in the sticks new the lakes.
bishop sutton is the other side of chew valley lake and nice but not sure about public transport from the last ones ,all the others have great transport links.
