Don`t know....but Westlife have covered most of them

I'd have thought that that would be impossible to know.

You might be able to add up the songs that record companies have released on CDs, records and so on. But you'd need to account for songs that are covers and songs that have the same title but aren't the same. Then there's all the traditional songs that have never been recorded be it old folk tunes from Cornwall or throat music by pygmy tribes of deepest Peru.
