I am considering purchasing a TV antenna for my touring caravan and wondered if any of you ABers out there have any idea which are the better ones to buy ~ an ordinary UHF antenna or one of these omni directional thingies? We are not looking to have sat tv but are hoping to boost our signal and also receive digital radio via our laptop.

Are the more expensive ones better or just a bit fancier?

Any advice / opinions would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance, twaflooers =0)

We've tried just about everything out there and found the best was the Compact vision plus. You simply plug into your TV and away you go. They are electronically boosted and comptible with freeview.
The actual box is about 6'' square by about an inch deep, hence the name. They are round about 22.00 from most caravan accessory shop. It's not always true that the more you pay the more you get is it !!
Hope this helps xx

Wow, thanks for such a quick response peppy. I will be taking your advice and checking out the one you recommend. As we don't watch an awful lot of TV whilst we are away approx 22 sounds great ~ much better than the 80+ for the ones I have so far been looking at.

Thanks again
