also spent 1000's on fishing, and few years wages on motorbikes, but i did not have a car at the time, so i suppose they dont count

Wow, i feel quite a broke cheapskate in comparison :)

Mine would be:

Laptop and net security - �400.00.

Mate's hen do in Milan & Lake Como - about �200.00 as had to get another passport as well.

Sofa - �120.00 bargain.
Holiday in Majorca-�700ish (inc spending money)
Holiday in Feurteventura-�400 (see above)
Can't think what else...fortunately am not a home owner, my car was �200 and most things I just wait to ask for for X-mas or birthday presents!
