ive lost my sense of taste!

i had my tounge pierced on thursday... had nothing but trouble with it and took it out on sunday night.... but in minutes my tounge swool right up n started pussing, which i wasnt to worried about.... then i had a drink of and a fag..... but i couldnt taste a thing i mean i thought of right maybe dud fag, another was the same... ... im so scared ive lost my sense of taste i dont want to eat cos i dont want to know.... is it possible to lose yr sense of taste cos of this?

i feel so sorry for you, swollen tonge and infection, thats bad. i wish people did'nt mutilate themselves in this way, but they do. but anyway if it does'nt improve i suggest seeing your gp.

u know wot i did my ears and eyebrow b4 this and they were nothing but trouble aswell....... ive decided against piercings now... :S

Just to say, my brother had his tongue done and had to let it close up, as he had nothing but pain and swelling, so he can sympathise with you and I'll empathise with the pair of you.

I took mine out the day I got it, tried to eat a pot noodle and kept biting the piercing then the noodles tied itself to the piercing! Bloody annoying! Didn't have any bother with any of my other piercings but I've taken out all the visible ones.

erm if it is infected you should NOT having taken the piercing out! All that does is close the hole and trap any infection inside, didnt you talk to your piercer at all??

Oh my god! I don't know anything about piercings except for ones in your ears but this Q made me feel sick!!!! :o(
I would see a GP ASAP!!!!

omg uve scared me now... he never told me that and i have a lump in my tounge!... im so scared now n this place is closed til further nottice cos hes having family emergency!
